Time, money, quality — all three instead of two.
Every agency asks you to choose here: fast, cheap or good. We built the work so that tools and AI take on everything repeatable — the decisions are still made by a person.
A website is rarely just a website. Behind it sit the domain, hosting, email, the Google profile, analytics, updates, backups, copy, images and the legal pages. Most quotes cover half of that. The other half lands on your desk, and nobody mentions it.
We take both halves. Set up, configure, run, keep current — down to the profiles you may not know you need yet. What you end up with is something that runs, not a folder of logins and a set of instructions.
That is also why our price works. A large share of the hours that go elsewhere into approval rounds, handovers and manual work simply never occurs here. What is left goes into the details you can see in the result.
The benchmark is not the next agency down the road. We build out of Ulm for clients across the German-speaking market, and the goal is that what a good website costs, and how long it takes, changes over the next few years.

Behind White Whale is a founder who builds businesses, not a design studio.
I started White Whale after building five projects of my own. Some worked, some did not. Every one of them got stuck in the same place: the website. Four- or five-figure quotes, weeks of waiting, and then a result I had to update, administer and somehow keep alive myself.
I am not a designer or an engineer first. I start from the question of what a business needs and build the site from there. A website is not a picture on the internet to me. It should bring in enquiries without daily attention, otherwise it is an expense.
What most agencies do strikes me as the wrong way round: the client pays a lot, waits a long time, and then inherits the work that should have been part of the job. That is the part we reverse.
I am 18. That is the part you should check — against the sites I have built, not against my birth year.
Four steps, and none of them is a black box.
- 01
Listen before designing
A conversation about your business, not about colours. Who buys from you, what stops people, and what the site actually has to achieve.
- 02
Structure before looks
Page architecture, the order of the argument and the search terms are settled before the first pixel. Fixing that later is expensive.
- 03
Build, measure, correct
Design and engineering run as one thread. Tools deliver research and variants in hours instead of days; which one survives is our call. Load time, readability and accessibility are checked while building, not afterwards.

Take on what would otherwise land on you
Hosting, domain, email, Google profile, updates, backups. The access and the code are yours, the work stays with us. The first four weeks after launch are free of charge, after that you decide whether we stay.
Four sentences you can hold us to.
AI does the work, a person decides.
Tools take research, variants and legwork off our hands. What becomes of it — structure, argument, detail — is decided by a person every time. The time we gain goes into your price, not into our margin.
A price fixed up front.
What a project costs is agreed before it starts — not after the third round of changes. Extras only exist if the brief changes.
The site is yours.
Code, domain, access, content. No licence that ties you to us, and no page builder you cannot get back out of. We run the site for you because it is easier that way, not because you are locked in.
A website is not a picture on the internet.
It has to be found, load in under a second and get read without anyone nudging it along. Anything else is an expensive business card.

What starts as a single service belongs together here: design, visibility and operations hold each other up. You do not have to buy them back one at a time.
